Disaster Psychiatry Outreach announces two significant partnerships relating to the ongoing fight against ebola.
More Than Me is an organization caring for young girls in Liberia. The founder and CEO, Katie Meyler, has been recognized as an ebola fighter and TIME Magazine’s Person of the Year. DPO is offering one-on-one support to More Than Me staff and training for their educators as Liberia rebuilds from this medical disaster.
In addition, DPO has partnered with the New York City Department of Mental Health and Hygiene to provide support to returning volunteers under quarantine and comprehensive training to New York medical care providers. Hundreds of aid workers are expected to return to New York City in 2015. DPO is the on-call support for any and all mental health needs relating to ebola aftercare.
